Time for another great week of Virtual Racing League action! \nLast week\, we took our FIA F4 cars to the National Park of Motorsports in Elkhart Lake\, Wisconsin: Road America! Now\, saying that we had an eventful race may be the understatement of the century. \nFor the majority of the race\, Ken Houseal and D.J. Alessandrini battled fiercely amongst themselves for the victory\, but with only 4 to go\, Ken Houseal and D.J. Alessandrini made contact in Thunder Valley\, knocking Ken Houseal all the way down to 14th with damage\, while D.J. Alessandrini nursed his damaged car to the finish line to take victory once again. For the other steps of the podium\, Ryan Carwile took second\, and Richard Sawicki rounded off the podium in third after a drag race to the line on the final lap. What a race\, everyone! \nThis week\, we’re taking our FIA F4 cars to one of the more recent circuits on iRacing\, Magny-Cours! Magny-Cours has been renowned for its technicality and difficulty since the track opened in 1960. Magny-Cours can get narrow at points\, so space and position are always at a premium\, making for some incredibly exciting racing! \nJoin us Wednesday\, March 6th at 8:15 PM on SYM TV as we take on the sweeping turns of the French countryside around this incredible circuit. DESCRIPTION:The Summit Point HPDE & TT Program is excited to announce the tentative schedule 2024! HPDE & TT events are expected on the following dates at the following Summit Point circuits: \n\nMarch 2-3 – Main Circuit\nMarch 23-24 – Shenandoah Circuit\nApril 26-28 – Main Circuit\nJune 1-2 – Jefferson Circuit (NEW DATE for 2024)\nJuly 13-14 – Shenandoah Circuit\nAugust 17-18 – Shenandoah Circuit\nSeptember 7-8 – Shenandoah Circuit\nOctober 5-6 – Main Circuit (NEW DATE for 2024)\n\nWe are particularly excited about the new date on Jefferson. The June event does away with a too-lengthy gap between the late-April and mid-July events. Its addition to the calendar means the program will continue to hold events on each of Summit Point Motorsports Park’s three unique and challenging circuits. Finally\, moving the Jefferson event from October to June enables us to add an additional date on Summit Point’s Main Circuit for 2024. \n*NOTE: Depending on the national Time Trials schedule\, Time Trials may not be offered at every event on this schedule. Time Trial drivers should look for announcements from the Time Trials Competition Director in the coming weeks. \nWhile we are confident that this schedule is firm\, we do not yet have a contract with Summit Point. Therefore this schedule is subject to change.

Mother Nature has been reluctant to provide enough ice for our traditional winter schools on frozen Adirondack lakes\, and it’s 5 months before the summer driving season\, so what to do? \nAudi Club Northeast has a solution! Join us at Lime Rock Park for a Winter Driving Skills School (car control clinic) on Saturday January 27\, 2024. Can’t make the 27th… a second date planned for Saturday February 24\, 2024. Make sure to block out your calendars for this event. \n\n\n\nWhat to Expect.  This one-day event begins at 9:00 AM with registration\, a brief driver’s meeting and classroom session. Following the classroom\, there will be on track instruction utilizing the skid pad and autocross course from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.\n\nLearn new or enhance your car control skills on the FCP Euro Proving Grounds.  Here\, with our instructors\, we will do traditional car control exercises and low speed lapping. You will experience the nuances of weight transfer\, advanced braking techniques while gaining increased confidence behind the wheel.\n\nShould Mother Nature grace us with snow\, our versatile volunteers and instructors will turn on the low friction switch in their brains and we will have an awesome winter school! \nMost importantly\, NEQ’s Winter School Program is not just for hot-shoe track junkies but also for their teenage children and spouses and anyone who wants to improve their low friction driving abilities. The entry fee provides an opportunity to hone your driving skills in a safe and supportive environment with skilled instructors. The fun and camaraderie…priceless! \n\n\n\nThe cost for each student attendee will be $290.\n\nOnce registration opens\, in order to maximize the experience for all\, attendance will be limited to 36 students plus instructors.  There will be a waitlist for registrants above the 36 number.  And if response is far greater than the maximum number of students\, a lottery will determine the roster for the day. We will also allow a limited number of guests for observation and ride-a-longs.\n\n\n\nVehicle Requirements:  Participants must have a car which is in good condition and fitted\, preferably\, with all-season tires.
