SUMMARY:GTM Racing at the 2019 SCCA Runoffs
DESCRIPTION:Everyone.  It’s almost time.  Next week is the 56th running of the SCCA Runoffs.  This will be my first time competing in the Runoffs and I am hyped!  I will be running in the FE (Formula Enterprise) class.  I am the in the final race on Friday the 11th.  My race group is 29 cars (20 FE2 and 9 FE) the field is stocked with National Champs and wicked fasted dudes…and me.  For those not familiar with the Runoffs I have 5W’s below and I have attached the schedule and my paddock location: \nWho:  Over 600 SCCA racers from all over the country and me! \nWhat:  The SCCA’s crown jewel event is the annual “Runoffs” and serves as a gathering for the top SCCA racers in the country to go head-to-head and prove who is best.  The Runoffs will be the largest event in VIR’s history.  More information is available at https://www.scca.com/runoffs \nWhere:  Virginia International Raceway.  Event tickets are available at https://virnow.com/events/the-runoffs-presented-by-sports-car-club-of-america/ \nWhen:  Oct 8-13th I will be there starting on the 5th getting setup\, through tech\, and ready for Monday’s test day.  My race is Friday the 11th at 5 pm. \nWhy:  Because it’s fun and challenging!  Come out and watch the races and hangout!  Friday racing has the SRF3 race group with a 56 car field which should be a blast.  Friday also has my friends Beth and Amy racing in the American Sedan class.  Saturday has a 62 car Spec Miata field which should be chaotic.  The entry list link for MSR is below for anyone curious about the different classes and car counts.  Can’t make to VIR?  No big deal.  There will be a live stream and live timing and scoring on the Race Monitor App and on SCCA.com \nThanks! \n-Sam Harrington \n\n\n\n \nRunoffs Sked\nFind Sam! \n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Fellow forzaphiles! \n\nIts been a while\, but we’ve come back for SOMETHING BIG… we are going to run a multi-part series that will span the rest of this year; mimicking REAL races. Our plan is to host these races the closest Tuesday (8:30pm) to the the actual race as possible…\n\nWhat are we on about?\n\nWe missed our opportunity for the Rolex 24; but… this coming Tuesday night… 200 LAPS at Indianapolis\, in Indy Cars! to celebrate the upcoming Indy 500! After Indy we will be celebrating LeMans and the Petit LeMans (Road Atlanta); No; these won’t be 24 or 12 hr races; but we’ll come up with a decent amount of laps to make it worth it. And there is a good chance we will run COTA in F1 cars\, etc. The schedule isn’t 100% final\, but it’s going to be AWESOME!\n\nNOTE: You will be restricted to no-mods; full sim; pit stops and only the cars that qualify for that particular race.

DESCRIPTION:April Double Autocross Canceled\nWe are very sorry to announce the last minute cancellation of the April 14th autocross event. Everything was on track to be finalized before the first event of the season\, but due to circumstances largely out of our control we were unable to obtain a formal contract for use of the lot in that time frame. We are hopeful we will have everything in order by our second scheduled autocross event on May 19th. We will send out an e-mail as soon as possible indicating whether we will continue to host autocross events and if there are any date changes. We hope you understand and we offer our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience. \nFor those of you who have already pre-registered\, we will give you the option of obtaining a full refund or applying your registration fee to a later autocross date.
