GTM is Fueled by Volunteers!

GTM keeps its members connected through Social Media (Facebook, Slack, Instagram, etc) and locally by organizing regional events and social activities throughout the year. We are fueled by our members, volunteers and club leadership. Helping out around GTM is a fun and fulfilling experience, but we can’t do it alone. Are you interested in helping out? – Take a look at the openings we have available and let your Region Chief or Crew Chiefs know that you are eager to share your talents! And if nothing is appealing, consider supporting us via Patreon.

Event coordinators are a bit of temporary gig and we more affectionately refer to them as "the party planning committees" but these members help the Region Chiefs organize and execute all the smaller details that make GTM events so fun!

We're not gonna hide it, we need help with our Social Media presence. Our author's can't do it all and so we're looking for folks that "get it" and want to help spread motorsports enthusiasm as well as the GTM brand through Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, or whatever the new hotness is. See how lame we made that sound?, we know you can do better.

All around us are wonderful stories just waiting to be told. If you feel you don’t have the time or expertise to tell those stories yourself, at least pass along your ideas or photos. Here are some ideas that resonate with our readers:

  • Field Trips that involve cars or going to fabricators, shops and other places to discover new things about Motorsports. Or maybe visits to Museums, Famous Tracks/Races, Car Shows – taking an epic bucket list trip to the Nurburgring? – we want to hear about it.
  • Technical & DIY (Do It Yourself) articles on small-to-large projects you might be working on. #LSswapallthethings
  • Interviews with interesting people, former racers or enthusiasts who own rare or interesting vehicles.
  • Experiences with Motorsports: Time Trials, Racing, AutoCross, there are all sorts of disciplines. Maybe you signed up for a Tim O’Neil Winter Rally School? – let us know how that went!
  • Personal Profiles: why I love Motorsport, or why I love my car.
  • Tagging us on Instagram: @grantouringmotorsports #grantouringmotorsports

Covered Bridges, Winding Roads... Drive & Dines - if any of those things get you revved up, then we need your help. There has been a growing request for more "road rally" events in GTM and we need someone to coordinate those trips and be our Rally Master!

Part Writer, Part Historian and equipped with the power to wield a clipboard like none-other. The Cruise Director helps the Webmaster and the Authors by helping complete the larger jigsaw puzzle that is the "Track Travel Guide & Racers Wiki" on the Paddock Pal website. This role could be classified as a "technical writer" and duties would include things like:

  • Updating Track Information
  • Developing New Maps for Paddocks, Passing Zones, Turn-by-Turn
  • Documenting where certain amenities and features are at a venue (formerly part of our Track Travel Guide.)
  • Working on other documentation that we have in the works for Coaching, etc.

With pretty much everyone out there carrying a camera equipped phone, the classic "photographer" at events has become more rare, but this doesn't mean we don't need pixs! Help us capture all the memories we are making together, fill our shutterfly archive and spread motorsports enthusiasm through pictures.

Graphic Designers would be responsible for helping the club with:

  • Developing new marketing ideas and materials like: schwag, stickers, logos etc.
  • Assist the Region Chiefs with designs for their events
  • Assist the Webmaster with keeping the GTM site looking fresh
  • Assist with developing the annual "Summer Bash" tee's

Thinking of a way to contribute but don’t see it listed above?, let us know how you want to help!
