Everyone. It’s almost time. Next week is the 56th running of the SCCA Runoffs. This will be my first time competing in the Runoffs and I am hyped! I will be running in the FE (Formula Enterprise) class. I am the in the final race on Friday the 11th. My race group is 29 cars (20 FE2 and 9 FE) the field is stocked with National Champs and wicked fasted dudes…and me. For those not familiar with the Runoffs I have 5W’s below and I have attached the schedule and my paddock location:
Who: Over 600 SCCA racers from all over the country and me!
What: The SCCA’s crown jewel event is the annual “Runoffs” and serves as a gathering for the top SCCA racers in the country to go head-to-head and prove who is best. The Runoffs will be the largest event in VIR’s history. More information is available at https://www.scca.com/runoffs
Where: Virginia International Raceway. Event tickets are available at https://virnow.com/events/the-runoffs-presented-by-sports-car-club-of-america/
When: Oct 8-13th I will be there starting on the 5th getting setup, through tech, and ready for Monday’s test day. My race is Friday the 11th at 5 pm.
Why: Because it’s fun and challenging! Come out and watch the races and hangout! Friday racing has the SRF3 race group with a 56 car field which should be a blast. Friday also has my friends Beth and Amy racing in the American Sedan class. Saturday has a 62 car Spec Miata field which should be chaotic. The entry list link for MSR is below for anyone curious about the different classes and car counts. Can’t make to VIR? No big deal. There will be a live stream and live timing and scoring on the Race Monitor App and on SCCA.com
Thanks!
