WDCR Virtual Racing League @ Watkins Glen (Round 6)

Hey there WDCR! Another week, another awesome round of virtual racing!

Last week, we took our Porsche Cup Cars and TCRs around the legendary hills of Road Atlanta, where we got a race we should have paid for. In the Porsche Cup class, we saw Paul Darling take the overall victory as well as victory in class, with three time winner Yiling Huang finishing runner-up and Morgan Burkhard rounding off the podium in third. In the TCR class, Elias Roman took his second victory of the season over Ken Houseal in second, and Michael Montelo finished third after making a final lap pass on Darian Taggart. Great job, everybody!

This week, we’re heading back up to the Northeast as we head to an American racing staple: Watkins Glen!

Originally run around the streets of the beautiful New York village, the permanent facility we know and love opened in 1956, though it has been through many different configurations. This iconic track has no shortage of iconic sections. From the Esses to the Inner Loop. And who could forget that fast and flowing Boot section? Truly a magical race track!
