Petit LeMans ’23, a bittersweet ending.

Share

You win some… you lose some. If you ain’t first, you’re last! To make a small fortune in racing, start with a large one…

Every cliché, saying, or adage could be used to succinctly sum up the course of events at the 2023 Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta. It just wasn’t meant to be for WTR (Wayne Taylor Racing); another championship stolen, this time in the remaining 10 minutes of the 10 hour IMSA season finale. Check out our Sights & Sounds, time lapse video compilation of the race below.

This year marks the end for some cars we’re used to seeing around the Paddock (Acura), while others are still trying to find their way (the Porsche 963), and new hopefuls are on the horizon in 2024 (Lamborghini, and others). 2024-2026 promises to be some exciting racing as IMSA and WEC get more closely aligned.

And a quick shoutout to David Middleton from MIE Racing and his family for hosting us this weekend. Great times & Great Friends. Thank you!

Don’t fret though, after a much needed break, we’ll be back to start it all over again in January at the Rolex-24 at Daytona International Speedway.

Can’t wait? – Then come talk cars and racing with us on Discord.

But for now… goodnight and godspeed!
