I started driving on track last September when I decided to try it "just once" before selling my 2005 (MKIV) Jetta GLI. Lots of new parts, a small fortune spent at NGP, and fourteen track days later, the Jetta has become a dedicated track car and I am pretty sure I have the DISEASE. 🙂 I have driven PDX/HPDE events with the SCCA, NASA, BMW CCA, and ACNA at VIR, Dominion, and all three Summit Point tracks.
As far as personal background, I have been a motorsport fan for many years, and I really enjoy any kind of road racing (F1, Indy, WEC, etc.). The first big race I attended was the infamous 2005 F1 Grand Prix at Indy, and the most recent was Indy cars at Pocono last fall. I live in Arlington, VA with my wife and two sons where I work in IT. When I am not driving I enjoy playing Forza and laying down funky bass grooves with one of several area bands
